The Troop will be attending Camp Minsi this summer!

They have a terrific program with a huge amount of merit badges, a really comprehensive first year scouting program (Trail to Adventure) and an afternoon adventures program (for an additional fee.)

We encourage you to look over the website ( http://www.campminsi.org/ ) as there is a tremendous amount of information. The program guide is also attached (under the “Files” tab above, as well as under the “Documents” tab on the main page.) The merit badges are all listed there, as well as the schedule. Please read this!

IMPORTANT – First year scouts DO NOT pick merit badges. They will partake in the Trail to Adventures program which is fully scheduled.

The first day that merit badges can be picked is Monday March 15th. In order to ensure your scout receives his or her picks, we would like to have their choices submitted to us by Sunday March 14th. There are six sessions per day and scouts should provide 2 or 3 choices per session. Some merit badges take up more than one session. Also, if your scout would like to take part in the afternoon adventures program, they will likely miss portions of the merit badge program for that day and may take a partial. Ideally, your scout should take a mix of things they are interested in doing, as well as some Eagle required MBs.

The total cost for camp is $475. The final payment is due June 1st.

There is a $100 deposit (due 3/14) that can be paid through the TeamApp store or preferably, Venmo ( @TroopEightyThree-Mantua ). Additionally, you can contact Mr. Young to make other arrangements.
